Along with a variety of activities on site, these heritage and cultural services and facilities are principally provided through Gaol Tours which are the best method of interpreting Maitland Gaol. A selection of tours are offered to visitors including Self-Guided Audio Tour, Introductory Guided, and Ex-inmate, History and Psychic Themed Guided Tours. Other tour include:

• Sleepovers: Special overnight packages have been designed for groups seeking a different experience at the Gaol, by sleeping in the cells and extending their empathy of past inmates.
• Group Packages: Special tours and experiences are designed for groups, in consultation with tour organisers. Group experiences include special tours, meals and other educational opportunities.
